What is Health Evaluation?

The doctor will sit and talk to you, look at your tongue and take your pulse. To the trained eye your
tongue is a wealth of information. The color, coating, shape, wetness and cracks of the tongue map
out  the  condition  of your internal organs  as well as your mental and emotional health. The doctor
feels  your
pulse,  distinguishing  between  hundreds  of  different  types  of  pulse  to find  out  the
condition  of your organs. Then your
abdomen  and  meridians  will be examined. These  practices
may sound a little  far fetched, but  this system of medicine is highly detailed and the result of over
2000 years of  clinical testing. From  this  consultation  the  doctor  will  explain the  diagnosis and
recommend treatment.

What treatment will I receive?

Acupuncture involves the insertion  of very  fine sterile needles at specific acupuncture points along
various meridians in order to  unblock the
flow of Qi  through the body. It is a  painless and relaxing
treatment  that has been  widely  accepted by  western medicine. There are  alternative techniques
available if you have a fear of needles. Those are  other  modalities  of  acupuncture or/and Chinese
herbal  medicine. Chinese  herbal  medicine  is  used  to strengthen  the internal organs. All  of the
herbs used by New York Medical Acupuncture are  premium quality, and contain  no heavy metals
or other pollutants.

Is treatment safe?

Absolutely.  All of  our practitioners  are fully qualified,  highly  experienced  and licensed. Chinese
medicine  has  been  tested  for  thousand  of  years  and  is  extremely  safe.  New  York Medical
Acupuncture has successfully treated hundreds of patients for over twenty years.

What is the length of the treatment?

All the causes  can be  present in  ailment and  understandably  treatment can be very  different for
each patient. People  vary  in  their  response  to treatment. Chinese medicine has a  high rate of
success. The length of treatment depends on the extent and duration of the symptoms. The  mini-
mum  period of treatment is  normally 4  weeks, in some cases, the relief can be instant.

How much it will cost me?

After  we  have  determined  what  it  is going  to  take  to  treat  your  condition,  we’ll  look  at the
most  economical  and  effective  means  of  making it  affordable  to you.  We  have  arranged  our
treatment to be  affordable for everyone. The  actual cost  will depend  on the type of treatment you
need and the alternatives that are available for you to choose from.

We do not bill our patients. Zero balance is required. We expect full payment each visit. Payments
can be made by check or cash. We employ PayPal for purchases on our website.
